William Chesser wanted an excuse to buy a CNC router so he began developing the model zero coffee table. The surface of the piece is the end grain of the wood. He has often said this is because he “uses plywood the wrong way”. The patented hidden hardware system used in the first piece was a bid to add elegance to the way the wood was bound together. The system has no visible fasteners. He later added the model six rocker and the model two-five side table to his design collection.
